CWG: Prakash Nanjappa wins silver in shooting

Glasgow, July 26 (IBNS) A strong performance by Prakash Nanjappa made India proud as he won the silver medal in the men's 10-metre air pistol event of the Commonwealth Games here on Saturday.

 Nanjappa, at 198.2, clinched the silver medal while the gold medal was won by Australia's Daniel Repacholi with 199.5 points.

The bronze medal was grabbed by England's Michael Gault with 176.5.

In the ongoing CWG, this was India's third medal from shooting.

With 11 medals in total, India is currently placed at fifth position.
