Los Angeles, Jan 13 (IBNS): Actor Tom Hardy and his wife Charlotte Riley welcomed their second child last month, media reports said.

According to The Sun, Tom Hardy has named his newborn son Forrest, as a tribute to one of his favourite film characters.

An insider told The Sun: “The couple are over the moon with the new addition to the family."

"Friends are already saying that the baby boy looks exactly like Tom," said the insider.

“They’ve been laying low over the festive period so they can get used to having a busier household and adjusting to the needs of a newborn," the insider said.

“They love the name Forrest as it’s earthy and strong. Tom has always found the movie Forrest Gump very inspiring and enjoyable and thinks it fits," the insider told the popular British tabloid.

Hardy and Charlotte Riley married in 2014.

They have a three-year-old daughter.
