Kolkata, Aug 20 (IBNS): DuPont, a leader in market-driven science & innovation , on Wednesday announced the return of The Power of Shunya-Quest for Zero series on Indian television.

The Power of Shunya- Quest for Zero is a showcase of inspiring stories of how some of India’s most visionary companies and people are using science powered solutions to not only address but also eliminate, or drive to shunya, some of the critical challenges facing a growing India.

Subsequent to the success of the first season that won 8 awards, viewers will be witnessing even more engaging, interesting and path breaking innovations that can help India pursue its growth journey while addressing key challenges.

The 16 part series will premiere on August 23 and will showcase innovations and discussions among industry stalwarts around crucial issues being faced by India including pollution, shortage of water, need of green infrastructure, renewable energy, agricultural production, nutrition and climate management

Balvinder Kalsi, President – South Asia & ASEAN, DuPont, said, “The Power of Shunya reflects our belief that science-powered solutions and innovations play a vital role in addressing the challenges and aspirations of our growing nation. Shunya or zero is a very powerful concept that originated in India, and for us today it reflects our aspiration for a world with zero hunger, zero malnutrition, zero darkness, zero diseases, zero lives lost, zero environmental impact. I am delighted that, through the Quest for Zero, we are able to uncover and share the innovative work being done by individuals and companies, some of whom are DuPont customers and partners, in our journey to support India’s growth while pursuing the goal of zero."

"This aligns well with the call made by our Honorable Prime Minister during his Independence Day speech “To make in India, with Zero effect”. It is a showcase of Indian ingenuity and highlights the transformative power of science-driven innovation," he said.

“After a successful launch last year, DuPont continues to strengthen its efforts to reach out to customers and other stakeholders that share the belief in science-based problem solving. The company has built a 360 degree multi-channel campaign around The Power of Shunya program to extend the reach. This campaign includes a series of on-ground events and customer outreach initiatives, in association with industry partners to engage customers in a collaborative effort in our quest for zero,” said Jitin Munjal, Director, Corporate Marketing and Sales, DuPont.
