West Bengal: Bloody clashes leave two dead, several wounded in South 24 Parganas dist

Kolkata/UNI: Bloody political clashes between the rival groups left two people dead and several wounded, while two houses were set on fire in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district.

While a Trinamool Congress activist was hacked to death, an SUCI worker was found hanging and his house set on fire during clashes since midnight at Moipith village under Kultuli block in the district.

TMC worker Ashini Manna was allegedly hacked to death by the SUCI activists last midnight where some other people were also attacked and wounded while the body of SUCI's district committee member Sudhanshu Jana was found hanging at his Moipith home and his house was also set on fire.

It was alleged that a group of people attacked the house of Jana early this morning and hanged him to death and later set his house on fire.

Rapid Action Force has been deployed in the troubled villages.
