WB: Crude bomb explosion kills 3 in Murshidabad

| | Mar 08, 2016, at 09:40 pm
Kolkata/Murshidabad, Mar 8 (IBNS): At least three men died and several others were injured on Tuesday, when a crude bomb went off at Bindarpur under Bharatpur Police Station area in West Bengal's Murshidabad district, reports said.

According to reports, few miscreants were making bombs in the area when a crude bomb suddenly exploded.

Three persons, who were identified as Hatem Sheikh, Basir Sheikh and Minar Sheikh, were killed in the explosion.

Sustaining serious injuries, few others are being treated in Kandi Sub-Divisional Hospital.

Local villagers alleged that miscreants, under the shelter of ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), were making bombs to use in upcoming assembly polls.

Local TMC leaders denied their involvement in the matter.

Police, however, recovered a huge number of crude bombs and bomb-making materials from the spot and have started investigation into the matter, officials said.
