Uttarakhand : HC rejects Centre's plea
Nainital, Apr 6 (IBNS) he Uttarakhand High Court on Wednesday rejected the Centre's plea for adjournment of hearing on the petition challenging imposition of President's rule in the state.
The high court said it won't deal with the budget appropriation issue till the government files its response.
Earlier, the High Court had disapproved of the Centre's move to impose President's Rule in the state, saying the floor test is the best method to judge the strength of rival forces.
Meanwhile, the Congress, in its affidavit filed in the Uttarakhand High Court on Wednesday, said there is no doubt about the Assembly proceedings on March 18 when the Appropriation Bill was passed by a voice vote.
