New Delhi Jan 22 (IBNS) At least 25 terror suspects have been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) across the country ahead of the Republic Day, reports said.

The arrested are said to be connected to the Islamic State and planning to carry out bomb blasts across the country.

While four persons were picked up from Hyderabad in Telangana, four more youths were picked up from Karnatana – two from Jakkasandra, Bengaluru, and one each from Mangaluru and Tumakuru.

Several more were detained from Rajasthan. Details are, however, awaited.

Explosive substances were seized from Nafeez of Tolichowki in Hyderabad. He was among the four picked up by NIA with the help of local intelligence officials.

The network was formed by associates of some persons involved in terror activities.
