TMC MP threatens to cut off CPI-M leader's tongue
MP of Basirhat Lok Sabha constituency Idris Ali made the comment while he was addressing a public meeting at Shason area in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district.
"Mamata Banerjee is a symbol of honesty. Gautam Deb said that he would send Mamata Banerjee to jail. Who is he?! If he again speaks ill about Mamata Banerjee, I will break his hands, legs and waist. Even, if Gautam Deb hides inside Alimuddin (which is the headquarter of WB CPI-M), I will do the same," Ali told the reporters later.
Few days earlier, CPI-M leader Gautam Deb said that Mamata Banerjee and Mukul Roy would be sent to jail in connection with the Saradha financial scam.
Demanding the arrest of all Saradha scam beneficiaries and the immediate return of depositor's money, the CPI-M will also demonstrate in front of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s office at CGO Complex in Kolkata's Salt Lake area on Jan 12.
Idris Ali on Wednesday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has links with Pakistani terrorists who were responsible for Pathankot airbase attack.
However, Trinamool party has condemned Idris Ali's statement and warned him.
"It is a very unhealthy and crass comment. This is not our party's view. We have written to Idris Ali and sought his reply on the matter," TMC Rajya Sabha MP and party's National spokesperson Derek O'Brien told IBNS.
