Three workers die in Delhi inhaling noxious gas while cleaning gutter

New Delhi, Aug 7 (IBNS) : Three sanitation workers died and after inhaling toxic gases while cleaning a gutter in Delhi's Lajpat Nagar on Sunday, media reports said.

Another worker, who also fell sick, now battles for life in a hospital.

According to reports, the incident happened when some workers were checking a sewer line opposite MCD office when they entered the sewer line.

They  were exposed to noxious gases and felt suffocated.

Soon they were taken to AIIMS Trauma centre where three of them were declared brought dead.

Two of the deceased have been identified as Joginder (32) and Annu (28). The third victim is still unidentified.
