The Sri Lankan government would explore the possibility of attracting investments to the Colombo Port City Economic Zone from India in the near future, a minister said on Tuesday.

Money, Capital Markets and Public Enterprise Reforms Minister Ajith Nivard Cabraal told Daily Mirror he  would travel to India after the Covid 19 pandemic is over to woo investments.

Cabraal sought investment from Oman and Qatar during his recent visit to the Middle East nations as the special envoy of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He said he invited the delegations from these two countries to visit Sri Lanka for the identification of possible areas of investments.
