| | Mar 03, 2016, at 06:47 pm
New Delhi, Mar 3 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that one should always heed advise from seniors while presenting the vote of thanks to President Pranab Mukherjee for his Bugdet opening speech.

Thanking the President, the PM said, "The President is the senior most member in the political sphere and we should always listen to him. I am thankful to him for his speech which highlighted the various aspects of our nation."

In his speech he also thanked the Speaker for calling an all women MP meet on Mar 5 and 6 and said, "I thank you for such an initiative and hope it will be a grand success."

Voicing concern for the growing agitation in the Parliament, he said, "If the Parliament does not function properly it hampers everything. The MP's are restricted from raising their concerns."

He also took a subtle jibe at the opposition by saying, "If we can maintain proper decorum in the Parliament, things will function smoothly, " and followed it with "This is not my advise, it is out late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's."

He also said that on Mar 8, International Women's Day "Let only the women MP's speak."

The PM also said that there should be a week dedicated to the first time PM's.

He said that the opposition is suffering from inferiority complex and therefore is not allowing the Parliament to function properly.

"They are scared of our members, of the thoughts we possess, hence they are not allowing us to say anything," PM said.

"You are making fun of Make in India?" Modi asked the opposition.

"If it is not successful, we should work together towards making it successful."

Taking another jibe he said, "Some people just age, but seldom do they realise a thing."

"We have a lot of problem in the country, but the real threat is the opposition we face all the time, even before the thing is implemented," PM Modi said.
