SC slams Centre for inaction in drought-hit areas
New Delhi, Apr 6 (IBNS) The Supreme Court on Wednesday slammed the Centre on inaction in nine drought hit states, saying the government cannot turn blind eye on this.
During the hearing, the Gujarat government said it has implemented Food security act from April. The decision comes after drubbing by the court.
The petition has been filed by Swaraj Abhiyan seeking extra effort and free food for poor people in drought-hit states.
