Rahul Gandhi thanks people for wishing him on birthday

New Delhi, June 19 (IBNS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Monday thanked people for wishing him on his birthday.

"Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes & messages. Truly grateful for the love, affection & support from each one of you," Gandhi tweeted.

Rahul Gandhi turned 47.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the Congress leader on his birthday.

Praying for his long life, the Prime Minister tweeted, "Birthday greetings to the Congress Vice President, Shri Rahul Gandhi. I pray for his long and healthy life. @OfficeOfRG."

Rahul Gandhi is the son of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi
