Policeman killed, two injured in Delhi court shootout

New Delhi, Dec 23 (IBNS) A policeman was killed and two others were injured when four men opened fire, allegedly at an undertrial from a rival gang, inside the Karkardooma Court premises in east Delhi on Wednesday, report said.

 Three of the shooters were detained but one managed to escape. 

Head Constable Ram Kumar, who was accompanying undertrial Chenu Phelwan alias Irfan, received three bullet injuries to his head and chest and died on the spot. Over six rounds were fired by the assailants.
 
Irfan was being produced in court room no. 73 when the incident took place.

A clerk present in the court also sustained injuries in the firing.
