PM Narendra Modi reaches Pakistan, Sharif welcomes him
He was received in the airport by his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif.
Earlier in the day, Modi spoke to Sharif and wished him on his birthday.
"Spoke to PM Nawaz Sharif and wished him on his birthday," the PM said.
"Looking forward to meeting PM Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today afternoon, where I will drop by on my way back to Delhi," Modi tweeted.
He reached Pakistan on his way back to India after visiting Afghanistan.
