New Delhi, Mar 24 (IBNS) New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a two-month deadline for bureaucrats for addressing public complaints, NDTV said on Thursday.
His directive came at a stock-taking meeting related to governance, held amid a spate of complaints about tardy grievance disposal.

“Grievance redressal is one of the biggest aspects of good governance and there was need for focused action within the next one month,” the report quoted him as saying.

PM Modi called for a comprehensive district-wise “review of citizen-centric services across the country”, the report added.

The PM also wanted to know about the status of social sector schemes like the Widow Pension Programme and eradication of leprosy.

He also reviewed the progress of vital infrastructure projects and also about the ease of doing business, the report added.

He also stressed on the digitization of land records and integration of the data with Aadhaar accounts, which is important to monitor the successful implementation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, the report said.
