| @indiablooms | Feb 23, 2024, at 05:08 pm

New Delhi/IBNS: A new survey report has claimed Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as the most popular global leader, surpassing US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Canadian's Justin Trudeau.

US-based global decision intelligence agency, Morning Consult, made a survey whose report has claimed Modi is the most popular global leader with 78 percent approval ratings.

The survey was conducted between January 30 and February 5.

Modi, 73, was elected as the Prime Minister in 2014 after Congress-led UPA was dethroned from power after its 10-year rule.

The Prime Minister, who spearheads the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is seeking a re-election for the third consecutive term in 2024 summer.

In the survey report, Modi is followed by Mexico's Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who secured the second spot with 64 percent approval rating.

Switzerland's Alain Berset is in third place with a 57 percent approval rating.
