PM Modi congratulates Neeraj Chopra for winning Gold at World Athletics Championships

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Neeraj Chopra for winning the Gold at the World Athletics Championships.

The Prime Minister said in a X post, "The talented @Neeraj_chopra1 exemplifies excellence. His dedication, precision and passion make him not just a champion in athletics but a symbol of unparalleled excellence in the entire sports world.

"Congrats to him for winning the Gold at the World Athletics Championships."

India's Olympic icon Neeraj Chopra added one more feather to his golden crown by winning the medal at the World Athletics Championships in the men's javelin event in Budapest.

Chopra ensured Indians woke up with a smile on their face as he hit a winning  88.17m mark in the second attempt.

In a battle with arch-rival Pakistan, Chopra defeated his competitor Arshad Nadeem who threw 87.82m in the clash.

He is currently the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal at the World Athletics Championship.
