PM Modi calls Nawaz Sharif, condemns Lahore attack
"PM @narendramodi called Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif to express his deep condolences at the terrorist attack in #Lahore," MEA Spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
"During the conversation, PM @narendramodi underlined the need for uncompromising efforts to fight against terrorism," he said.
Narendra Modi earlier tweeted and condemned the suicide attack in the Pakistani city.
"Heard about the blast in Lahore. I strongly condemn it. My condolences to families of the deceased & prayers with the injured," PMO India tweeted quoting Modi.
A suicide attack in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore on Sunday left at least 58 people killed and 200 others injured, media reports said.
Rescue operation is currently going on.
Following the attack, three days of mourning has been announced by the Punjab government.
