"People's choice clear as BJP state govts get re-elected"

Ratlam, MP, Apr 16 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Wednesday claimed that people's preference was evident in the way they re-elected the BJP in the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
"What is the reason that people in Chhattisgarh, MP and Gujarat are electing the BJP again and again? People here have seen the BJP, they have understood BJP well and they trust the BJP to solve their problems. People are aware that the BJP’s sole aim is to work for the development of the people," said Modi while addressing a rally at Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh.

"Can you imagine what would have happened to MP had you elected Bantadhar people in 2003 and not voted for BJP," asked the BJP leader.

Modi spoke of how MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had, with his people-focused initiatives, brought the state back from being a "bimaru state" (ill-state) and transformed it into a developing economy.

He claimed that if Chouhan could do this for MP, the BJP could do the same for the nation.

Speaking on the rampant corruption prevalent in India, the Gujarat CM said that this has been the practice of the Congress since ages, and cited how even during former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s rule, this prevailed, as was evident in Gandhi’s statement of the Rupee from the Centre reaching the poor only as a mere 15 paise.

Modi said that the poor, Dalits and impoverished have full rights on the resources of India and the BJP will ensure that these are used for their welfare.
