No work no pay only for Govt employees ? How about horse-trading politicians ? Kamal Hassan tweets

Chennai, Sep 15 (IBNS) : Actor Kamal Haasan on Friday came down heavily on the 19 pro-Dinakaran AIADMK MLAs, who are now lodged in a resort as part of the ongoing political game in the state, stating that the legislators who do not work must not be paid salaries.

“No work no pay only for Govt. Employees? How about horse trading politicians languishing in resorts? The honourable court warns teachers on strike. I beseech the court to issue similar warnings to those MLAs who desist from attending work,” the actor tweeted.

The 19 'rebel’ MLAs have been  kept  in Windflower Resort near Chennai so that they are not influenced either by Chief Minister E Palaniswami or Deputy Chief Minister O Paneerselvam,, who have buried hatchets to unite.

The united factions have recently ousted V Sasikala, the official chief of the party and stripped Dinakaran, her nephew, of all powers.

In a retaliatory move, Dinakaran declared that his faction has no support to the Government.

He says without the support of his 19 followers the Government looses the  required strength to be in power and reduces to a minority.

Dinakaran also moved the Madras High Court seeking a floor test for the Government to prove its majority. However, the court has restricted any such move till September 20.

The Madras High Court has also  ordered the Tamil Nadu advocate general; to respond at the earliest on the query whether there will be any action taken to disqualify 19 MLAs supporting TTV Dhinakaran.

Kamal Hassan's dig at the legislators came after he confirmed that he is considering floating his own political party to mark is debut into the already stormy waters of Tamil Nadu politics.

In an interview with The Quint, Haasan stated that he is “thinking on those lines” to launch his own party to enter politics but it was “not out of choice but compulsion.”

“Yes I am thinking on those lines, not out of choice but compulsion. Which existent political party can provide me with a platform or an ideology that will match my reformatory goals in politics?” Haasan told The Quint.
