Narendra Modi, politicians congratulate India for beating Pakistan

New Delhi, Mar 19 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday led the nation in congratulating Indian team after they defeated Pakistan in an ICC World T20 match by six wickets.

Modi called India's victory over Pakistan in the high-voltage clash as 'amazing'.

"Congratulations Team India for the amazing victory. #IndvsPak," Modi tweeted.

Union Minister Smriti Irani said, "fantastic innings by Virat Kohli. Congrats Team India. Great win!"

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje posted: "Congratulations #TeamIndia for the spectacular win! Good luck for #WCT20! #IndvsPak #Proud #जयहिन्द"

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's Office of RG tweeted: "Congratulations to the Indian team on a thrilling win against Pakistan! #IndvsPak."

BJP President Amit Shah said: "India's unbeaten track record against Pakistan in World Cup continues. Well done team India.We are proud of you.#IndvsPak."

Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal tweeted: "Many congratulations to the Indian team for winning the all important match against Pakistan in Kolkata. #IndvsPak."

Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel said: "What a splendid victory! Congratulations to Team India especially @imVkohli for a spectacular knock. Keep up the winning momentum! #IndvsPak."
