Narendra Modi calls Nepal PM, condoles loss of lives in floods

New Delhi, Aug 18 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called his Nepalese counterpart Sher Bahadur Deuba to condole the loss of lives in the flood which has ravaged the Himalayan nation.

"Spoke to Nepal PM, Rt. Hon. Sher Bahadur Deuba. Expressed condolences on the loss of lives due to flooding in Nepal," Modi tweeted.

He also offered to provide all assistance to the neighbouring nation.

"India stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Nepal & is ready to provide all possible relief assistance," he said.

Flood has hit several parts of India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
