'Mother-son duo' running govt at Centre: Modi

Bhopal, Apr 18 (IBNS): Slamming Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Friday said the mother-son duo is running the government at the Centre.

"Mother-son are running the government in Delhi, not the Prime Minister," Modi said while addressing a rally at Betul in Madhya Pradesh.

"They have looted the country," he said.

This comment was made referring to the recently released book ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ by former advisor to prime Minister Sanjaya Baru.

Modi stated that the book had affirmed that it was the ‘Mother-Son’ duo who took the decisions for the nation and not the Prime Minister himseslf.

Sonia had also slammed Modi's Gujarat model of development.

"They are talking about Gujarat model. In Gujarat, 40 per cent people don't get drinking water, 27000 vacant posts for Tribals and Dalits, every second child up to 5 years is suffering from malnutrition," Sonia had said in a rally in Madhya Pradesh.
