Modi remembers C Rajagopalachari on his birth anniversary

New Delhi, Dec 10 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday remembered freedom fighter C Rajagopalachari on his birth anniversary.

Modi said C Rajagopalachari's contribution to India's development has been 'legendary'.

"Shri C Rajagopalachari's contribution to India is legendary. I bow to this freedom fighter & profound thinker on his birth anniversary," Modi tweeted.

Born on Dec 10, 1878, Rajagopalachari was an Indian lawyer,independence activist, politician, writer and statesman.

He was the last Governor-General of India.

He passed away on Dec 25, 1972.
