Militant killed in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Jan 26 (IBNS) An unidentified militant was killed in a brief encounter security personnel in South Kashmir's Anantnag district some 75 kilometres from summer capital Srinagar, Jamu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday said.
. “Encounter that started  early in the morning in Kokernag area of  Anantnag, left an unidentified  militant dead,” a senior police officer said. 
 
Identification of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
 
Firing has stopped in the area but search operation is still on.
