Mann Ki Baat: Modi ropes in Sachin, Viswanathan to advise students on exams
New Delhi, Feb 28 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday dedicated his Mann Ki Baat address to the nation's students who are appearing for exams and asked them to not merely worry about marks.
This is one of the special editions of Modi's monthly radio address where eminent personalities like cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and chess champion Viswanathan Anand joined him.
During the popular radio address, Modi said, "Exams are not merely about marks. Every exam is a step towards achieving that great purpose. Every success will become a key to achieve that great purpose."
He advised that, "Do not limit yourself with what will happen in these exams. Work for a larger purpose, for a vision."
Modi also asked students to take adequate rest and good sleep.
Tendulkar, meanwhile, advised students to set "realistic, achievable targets for themselves and try to achieve them."
"Set your targets and pursue them with a free mind, without pressure. Compete with yourself and not others. Keep your thinking positive, positive results will surely follow," said he.
Anand also shared tips with students appearing for exams.
He said, "It's important not to put too much pressure on yourself an don't keep your expectations too high. Don't be over-confident but don't be pessimistic either."
Other personalities who joined the radio address were Professor CNR Rao and spiritual guru Morari Bapu .
