Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 2 (IBNS): A video, uploaded and shared on Facebook, has brought to light the incident of a group of four men attacking two other men on a motorcycle with one of the two dying in hospital.

The local media, quoting the police, has reported that it is the result of a gang-war in a village near the state capital of Thiruvanthapuram.

The victim, now identified as Shabeer, and his friend in the pillion, were travelling down a public road on Sunday when they were attacked by men wielding sticks.

They repeatedly beat up Shabeer until he lay lifeless on the ground; the attackers then turned their attention to the pillion rider and beat him up too.

Passers-by called the police and also took the two men to the hospital.

According to media reports, Shabeer died in the hospital.

The police has not revealed who filmed the video.
