Bhopal/IBNS: A Madhya Pradesh man, who was caught peeing on a tribal man in a viral video, has been arrested, media reports said.

Pravesh Shukla, the accused, was arrested late at night. He was charged under the National Security Act, SC/ST Act and other sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

In the viral video, Shukla was seen smoking a cigarette and urinating on the man, who belongs to low caste.

The incident had prompted Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to take immediate action and file a case against Shukla under NSA.

The accused's connection with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has prompted the opposition Congress to corner the state government.
