Kolkata: Fire breaks out near Khanna cinema hall, no casualty

Kolkata, Mar 20 (IBNS): The fire, which broke out on Sunday afternoon in a building near Khanna cinema hall in north Kolkata, has been brought under control, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first seen in a residential building at A. P. C. Road in the afternoon.

After being informed, as many as 3 fire tender engines, police and Disaster Management Group (DMG) rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control in an hour.

Traffic was party disrupted on A. P. C. Road for hours due to the fire.

However, no casualty has been reported in the incident so far.

The cooling off process is currently underway and the fire department has started investigation into the matter to know the exact reason behind the fire.
