Kolkata: 2 arrested with fake passports and PAN cards

Kolkata, Jan 7 (IBNS): Acting on a tip off, the Bidhannagar City Police on Wednesday arrested two persons with several fake passports, voter cards and PAN cards, reports said.
According to reports, Surajit Dutta and Chittaranjan Rana were nabbed from Baguiati Kestopur and Dumdum areas in Kolkata with fake passports, PAN cards and voter cards.
 
Police on Dec 30 booked one suspect- Tusi Das- from Kolkata's Chinar Park area and after interrogating her, more four- Debraj Dutta, Ziauddin, Shole and Saraswati- were nabbed.
 
During interrogation, police came to know about Surajit and Chittaranjan, who were arrested on Wednesday.
 
According to sources, police have found few addresses of Panjab's Pathankot, Gurdaspur and Jalandhar on these fake passports, which were seized from their possession.
 
Commissioner of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate Javed Shamim told IBNS, "Our investigation is currently underway. They all are being interrogated. No terror link has been found so far."
 
However, Surajit Dutta and Chittaranjan Rana were produced to a local court on Thursday and sent to police custody for 9 days. Other five arrested are also in police custody.
