Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 8 (IBNS): The Kerala Police on Tuesday arrested a 41-year-old fugitive Catholic priest in Kochi on charges of repeatedly raping a teenager for more than four months, media reports said.
The incident happened when the accused, Father Edwin Figarez, was attached with the Kottapuram diocese in north Kerala.

"Police said Father Edwin Figarez was on the run for the past six months, since he was accused of paedophilia and sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl, who he had met at the church during prayers," The Hindustan Times reported.

An officer said the class 9 student was abused for four months by the father.
