Kerala imposes lockdown from May 8 to May 16 to curb Covid-19 spread

Thiruvananthapuram/IBNS: The Kerala government on Thursday announced a complete lockdown in the state between May 8 and 16 to curb the Covid-19 spread.

The lockdown will begin at 6 am on May 8 and will continue till 16th of the month.

He tweeted, "As directed by the CM, the entire State of Kerala will be under lockdown from 6am on 8 May to 16 May. This is in the background of a strong 2nd wave of #COVID19."

Kerala on Wednesday reported the biggest spike in Covid-19 cases with over 41,000 fresh infections.

With the surge, the state's caseload has further gone up to 17,43,932.

India registered yet another day of massive spike as 4,12,262 daily cases were registered in the past 24 hours.
