Kejriwal to use saved money to provide free medicines in Delhi Govt. hospitals

New Delhi, Jan 17 (IBNS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kerjiwal announced on Sunday that his government will be using the saved money from various projects to provide free medications in government hospitals.

Kejriwal said that the his government has saved a total of Rs 350 Crore from 3 flyover projects.

He said, "Total Rs 350 cr saved in const of 3 flyovers by PWD. This money to be used in providing free medicines n tests in all Del govt hosp."

He also said that health checkups will be free of cost in the government run hospitals.

"No user charges in Del govt hospitals from Feb 1. All medicines prescribed by hospital docs to be provided free."
