Kashmir special status : Omar Abullah welcomes Rajnath Singh's statement

Srinagar,Sep 11 (IBNS) : Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdulllah, on Monday welcomed Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement that Indian government stands to support the on Article 35A and Special Status for the state.

Rajnath Singh, who is on visit to the state, had earlier said at a press conference that the Cente supports Article 35A and the  special status act and  won't do anything against the emotions of the people.

  
Reacting to his statement, Abdullah tweeted: “This is a very important statement from the Union Home Minister. His assurance will go a long way towards silencing the noises against 35-A.”
 
He said that he was willing to talk to anyone who helps to resolve the Kashmir problems.

"I am willing to talk to anyone. I am inviting everyone who is willing to help us in resolving problems of Kashmir,” he said.

Singh said that the situation in Kashmir Valley has improved as compared to last year.
