Kashmir grenade attack: One civilian killed, four injured

Srinagar, Sept 7 (IBNS): A civilian was killed while four others were injured when suspected militants lobbed hand grenade on CRPF vehicle at Jehangir Chowk in Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.

According to reports, the grenade was lobbed at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers deployed in the area.

The grenade missed the target and resulted in a blast on the road causing injuries of four civilians.

Later, one seriously injured civilian succumbed to injuries at the Srinagar hospital.

Soon after the attack, forces cordoned off the area to nab the attackers

The deceased was identified as Maqsood Shah of Budgam district.
