JNU students, teachers, journalists attacked in Delhi court

New Delhi, Feb 15 (IBNS) Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) teachers, students and media persons were allegedly attacked by lawyers in New Delhi's Patiala Court on Monday.

The incident occurred before arrested JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar's was to be presented in the court.

Kanhaiya Kumar was earlier arrested on sedition charges.

The attackers were reportedly wearing black coats.

The JNU is currently facing protests and counter protests with the police cracking down on students over the anti-India slogans raised earlier to mark the death anniversary of Parliament Attack convict Afzal Guru on its campus in the national capital.
