The Tri-Services All Women Motorcycle Rally has made its way to Jammu, India, after covering approximately 1000 kilometers through challenging terrains in Haryana and Punjab.

The rally, launched by the Indian Army to commemorate the 24th anniversary of victory in the Kargil War, aims to highlight the indomitable spirit of women and honor the valiant soldiers who sacrificed their lives in service of the nation, reported ANI.

Led by a 25-member strong team, the rally includes two Veer Naris, ten serving Indian Army Women officers, and representatives from the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, and Indian Army, along with Armed Forces spouses.

The riders have garnered admiration and support as they interact with NCC Cadets, students, veterans, and Veer Naris along the way, spreading their message of strength and courage.

The rally received a warm welcome at Jammu by the students of St. Mary's Presentation Convent School, where they were encouraged to join the Armed Forces.

Dr. Deepali Adhau delivered an inspirational speech, recounting the tales of heroics during the Kargil War, including the stories of Gallantry awardees Capt Vikram Batra and her Husband Col Rajesh Adhau.

The journey will continue through the high mountain passes of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, ultimately culminating at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras on July 25, 2023.

The rally serves as a tribute to the brave soldiers who defended the nation's sovereignty during the 1999 conflict, as well as a testament to the unwavering resolve and potential of Indian women to achieve greatness.
