J&K operation: Army official killed,toll touches 6

Srinagar, Feb 21 (IBNS) Another Indian army officer has died in the ongoing operation against militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Pampore area which took the toll to six, reports said.

The gunfight between security forces and militants are going on for more then 24 hours.

After attacking the CRPF vehicle, militants entered into JKEDI building and holed up their positions and started heavy firing from the building on the security forces on Saturday.

The entire area has been cordoned off.

An army official told media that a militant was also killed.
