Jammu and Kashmir: Five terrorists die during Kupwara encounter
Kupwara: At least five terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara region on Friday, police said.
Kashmir Police Zone tweeted: " #KupwaraEncounterUpdate: Five (05) foreign #terrorists killed in #encounter. Search in the area is going on: ADGP Kashmir @JmuKmrPolice."

The encounter erupted during the wee hours of Friday at Jumagund area of LoC following specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
This is the first major infiltration attempt that has been foiled along the LoC in Kashmir this year. Three days ago two militants suspected to be foreigners and members of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in a gun battle in the Machil sector of Kupwara.
This year five infiltration bids have been foiled in Kupwara district.
