Indian Sikhs protest outside Pakistan Embassy in New Delhi against Referendum 2020

New Delhi: Members of the Sikh community on Thursday demonstrated outside the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi against Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, General Counsel of Sikhs for Justice and Pakistan's spy agency ISI, for instigating Khalistan and Referendum 2020 movements in the Indian national capital.

The protest was led by Manjit Singh GK, International President, JAGO Jag Assara Guru Ott.

Pannun, who has also been designated as terrorist by Government or India, has been allegedly instrumental in reviving Sikh insurgency and Khalistan movement in India at the behest of ISI and foreign agencies, including China.

"Sikhs are prospering in India and we don’t approve or support any malicious agenda of Pannun and he has no authority to act on behalf of Sikhs,” said Manjit Singh GK.

Sikhs for Justice on Wednesday issued a video statement from their headquarters in US and demanded the Sikhs residing in Delhi to overthrow the Indian administration.

In the video, Pannun also directed the Sikhs in Delhi NCR to reach in large numbers on Sunday at Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib and Gurdwara Bangla Sahib and commence the voter registration process for Referendum 2020 with the prime motive of liberating Punjab from India.

The demonstrators burnt the effigy of Pannun and ISI Chief and cautioned them not to interfere in Sikh affairs.

The demonstrators further raised pro India slogans and warned both Pannun and ISI chief not to instigate terrorism and unlawful activities.

The Indian government earlier banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) for a period of 5 years.

SFJ was formed with Avtar Singh Pannun as its president and Gurpatwant Singh Pannun as its legal advisor.

The SFJ pushes for Sikh Referendum 2020 as part of its separatist agenda.
