New Delhi/IBNS: India has strongly rejected the reference to Jammu & Kashmir in the joint statement issued after the second round of China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue, Ministry of External Affairs has said.

Responding to a media query  on Saturday, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said, "The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is an integral and inalienable part of India and we expect the parties concerned (China and Pakistan) to not to interfere in matters that are internal affairs of India."

While dismissing Pakistan and China's continuous attempts to build a narrative on Jammu and Kashmir, India pointed out that the projects in "so called China Pakistan Economic Corridor" are in the territory of India that has been illegally occupied by Pakistan.

"India has repeatedly conveyed its concerns to both China and to Pakistan on the projects in the so-called China Pakistan Economic Corridor, which are in the territory of India that has been illegally occupied by Pakistan," said Srivastava.

Asserting that Pakistan and China had no legal right to build projects in the part that falls within India's territory, Srivastav said, "We resolutely oppose actions by other countries that change the status quo in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir and call on the parties concerned to cease such actions."
