Haryana: Three arrested for betting on IPL

Chandigarh/UNI: Haryana Police has nabbed three persons in Sirsa district for betting on IPL cricket match played between RCB and Mumbai Indians on Sunday.

Giving this information here on Tuesday, a Haryana Police spokesperson said that police also recovered Rs 20,000 in cash, one LED, two laptops, 12 mobile phones of different makes, two laptop charges, nine mobile chargers, one extension board, three Wi-Fi routers and five earphones.

Police had got information that betting was going on in a house at Sirsa when the match was being played between RCB and Mumbai Indians. Based on the specific inputs, a CIA team raided the location and nabbed three persons while betting on IPL match.

Those arrested were identified as Prince alias Sonu and Navdeep alias Kalu, both from Old Housing Board Colony and Raman Kumar alias Montu, a resident of F-Block Sirsa.

A case has been registered against them at a police station in Sirsa.
