The conclave is titled as  ‘Nature Solves: A New Framework for Our Sustainable Future’.

The event is being jointly organised by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), a climate think tank, and the Meghalaya Basin Development Agency (MBDA), a governmental body, reports East Mojo.

Distinguished organizations like the World Economic Forum, SEWA India, ASCON India, South African BRICS Youth Association (SABYA), and TERI India are participating in the event.

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma tweeted:  As we deliberate on the new framework for our sustainable future, let us not forget that we are custodians of this planet, entrusted with the responsibility to ensure its well-being for future generations."

" Nature's solutions are waiting to be discovered, and it is our duty to embrace them wholeheartedly," he said. "Our mascots - Pa’Khla (Clouded Leopard) and Maimai (Hill Myna) demonstrates our rich natural diversity as we have embarked on a mission to create awareness on conservation in schools and colleges across the State," Sangma said.
