Documents seized by CBI unrelated to probe : Arvind Kejriwal tweets

| | Dec 16, 2015, at 04:20 pm
New Delhi, Dec 16 (IBNS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted on Wednesday morning that the documents seized by CBI from his office have no relation to allegations being probed.

Kejriwal, who alleged that  the CBI had raided his office for a file linked to corruption in the Delhi cricket body that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley headed in the past, also tweeted  that the investigators read the file but "left it" after his media briefing.

"Docs seized from my office. No relation to allegations being probed. Item 7 -file movement register of last one month," he said.

"CBI kept reading DDCA file in my office. They wud hv seized it. But after my media briefing, they left it. Not clear if they took a copy," said his another tweet.

Kejriwal had said on Tuesday that the CBI raided his office to search for files on the DDCA or Delhi and District Cricket Association, which, he said, had  Jaitley's name. AAP alleges that there were financial irregularities when Jaitley was the president of the Delhi cricket body for 13 years till December, 2013.

Jaitley called the allegations "absolutely rubbish" and  said: " I don't think I should comment on rubbish."

AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said on Wednesday: "There are rumours about widespread corruption in DDCA. Mr Jaitley was heading it for a long time. There were documents in the chief minister's office on this, as Mr Kejriwal takes care of all important documents, inquiries and vigilance documents."

"I challenge them to produce even a single document linked to Rajender Kumar's alleged corruption in the Chief Minister's office," he added.
