DDCA: Shatrughan Sinha calls Kirti Azad a 'hero'

| | Dec 23, 2015, at 10:26 pm
New Delhi, Dec 23 (IBNS) Calling Kirti Azad as a 'hero' for taking on Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the alleged irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) scam, BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha on Wednesday targeted his own party and said the party with a difference has become a 'party with differences'.

"KirtiAzad-hero of the day.Humble appeal to friends.Avoid knee jerk reaction/coercive action against friend who's fighting against corruption," Sinha tweeted.

"Have often quoted Newtons 3rd Law. Feel that untimely action cud boomerang. Sadly-Party with a Difference has become Party with Differences," he said.

The senior BJP leader targeted Jaitley and said: "As for FM, issue shud be fought politically not legally. As advised by our dashing dynamic PM, our FM cud follow Advanijis eg & come clean."

Media reports said the BJP may take disciplinary action against  Azad on Wednesday evening.

The parliamentarian defied his party as he made corruption allegations linked to the Delhi and District Cricket Association that  Jaitley headed for 13 years till 2013. After holding a press conference on Sunday, he followed it up with an open dare on social media and barbs in Parliament.

Jaitley has sued leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, for slapping allegations on him.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi defended  Jaitley at a weekly meeting of BJP lawmakers.

Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has said the allegations against Jaitley are baseless.

On Monday, BJP chief Amit Shah also broke his silence, defending  Jaitley and accusing the AAP government in Delhi of running a malicious campaign against the minister.

Shah, however, did not comment on  Azad.
