New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said the Covid-19 situation in the national capital was improving though the Union Territory continued to be one of the most-affected parts in the country.

In a press briefing, Kejriwal said, "Situation is improving in Delhi in the last few days. However, there is no room for complacency. This virus is unpredictable. We must continue our efforts with more vigor."

Kejriwal said 26,000 active cases were there in Delhi though his government had expected it to be 60,000.

He said, "A month ago, we had expected 60,000 active cases till Jun 30. I am happy that now only 26,000 active cases are there. The situation is improving due to our united efforts."

"Earlier 31 of 100 test results used to come positive. Now the figure is 13," the CM claimed.

In Delhi so far, 87,360 people including 2,742 deaths and 58,348 cured/discharged have been infected with the contagion.
