Coronavirus: Karnataka registers 308 fresh cases

Bengaluru/UNI: With the detection of 308 fresh COVID-19 cases, the total number of people tested positive for the pandemic surged to 5760 in Karnataka on Monday.

The death toll due to the COVID-19 associated cases also rose to 64 when two patients had succumbed to the disease in the last 24-hours in the state.

Among the 308 fresh cases which were detected on Monday, included 99 in Kalaburagi and 66 Yadagiri, 48 in Bidar, Udupi 45, Bengaluru urban 18 and Ballari 8.

Fresh cases of virus were also reported from Gadag, Shivamogga, Hassana, Dakshina kannada, Dharwada, Bagalkote, Koppala, and Ramanagara, the sources said.

The sources said that among those who were tested positive on Monday, as many as 277 persons had come from other states, one person had came from abroad.

In the last 24 hours, as many as 387 persons who had contracted COVID-19 were discharged form the hospital, after completely cured from the pandemic.
