Cong protests over Swamy's 'drunk' remark on Priyanka

New Delhi, Apr 15 (IBNS): Several Congress party workers on Tuesday protested outside the residence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy for calling Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi a drunk.
Swamy reportedly said that Priyanka would have been thrashed if she contested the Lok Sabha polls from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh since she drank too much.

Praising BJP leader Varun Gandhi in a tweet, he further slammed his estranged family and wrote: "Good luck to Varun. One Nehru whose blood is 100 percent Hindustaniyat. No wonder Booze and Buddhu jealous."

This comes after Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi rebuked her estranged cousin brother Varun Gandhi and urged him to choose the right path.

"Varun ia a member of the Gandhi family but he is on wrong path," she said while addressing a rally in Sultanpur on Saturday.

Varun Gandhi, however, hit back with a statement saying he would like to debate issues of concern like unemployment instead of personalized attacks.
