BS Yeddiyurappa appeals to maintain peace on Sangolli Rayanna statue installation issue at Belagavi

Bengaluru/UNI: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has appealed to people to maintain peace in Peranavadi, in Belagavi district where the Sangaoli Rayana statue was installed without permission on Friday.

The Chief Minister had called on deputy commissioner of Belagavi district and collected details of the incident on Pernavadi village where the Sangolli Rayanna statue was installed.

He also said that necessary steps to avoid any untoward incidents occurred.

He instructed the deputy commissioner to take all precautionary measures to control the situation.

Meanwhile, the heavy police security has been deployed at the village and the situation is under control now.
